A National Day of Thanksgiving was proclaimed in 1863
by President Abraham Lincoln to give, “Thanksgiving and Praise
to our beneficent Father who dwelleth in the Heavens.”
Grateful I Can Reflect God's Light
In this season of Thankfulness I adapted the song lyrics of "Stained Glass" about a gift God gave us. With Jesus in our hearts, we are no longer drab and grey. We are filled with His Holy Light. And like stained glass, we have a multitude of beautiful colors.
Most of all, we are not only truly alive ourselves, but we can each REFLECT God's Life and Light to others!
I am grateful for being like Stained Glass!
Blessings,
Stained Glass
We are like Windows
Stained with Colors
Of the Rainbow
No longer sitting in a darkened room
Because the Bridegroom
Has come to Shine through YOU!
We are His Daughters and Sons
We are the Colorful Ones
We are the Kids of the King
Thankful in everything
My Colors grow so Dim
When I start to Fall
Away from Him
But up comes the Strongest Wind
He sends to Blow Me
Back into His Arms again
Now All His Colors
Fall around our feet
Touching all we meet
Changing all the Gray that We See
Rainbow colors of the Risen Son
We Reflect the One
The One Who Came
To set us All Free
We are His Daughters and Sons
We are the Colorful Ones
We are the Kids of the King
Grateful in everything
We are Like Windows
Stained with Colors of the Rainbow
No longer sitting in a darkened room
The Bridegroom wants to Shine thru YOU
No longer sitting in a darkened room
The Bridegroom wants to Shine thru YOU
— Stained Glass lyrics by Melody Green, music by Keith and Melody Green
