You completely fail to offer the third and MOST compelling argument. It IS GOD who is the creator but he has done this using evolution. To ignore this view is to ignore the best scienc and the best theology! Pastor Ken

Sorry, after reading Ken Landry's note on winkie Pratney's tract, I believe some one needed to reply to it. Ken, I do pray you don't think me mean spirited, but some times things just have to be said. I haven't read the article yet, but rather got on line to check out the web-page after finding Part III of Mr.Pratney's "Creation or Evolution?" at the bottom of a box I haven't looked at in about 25 years. I think you over look the power of God as He describes in Genesis. He said He created the universe in 6 days. He even spelled out the fact that those days where one night and one day, so that no one could possibly consider the day that He spent creating as a thousand years (2 peter 3:8) or some other arbitrary amount of time. But, what would be more amazing to me would be, if He created the heaven and the earth, and all other created things, out of nothing (nothing means nothing - not even the physical space for an atom) in five days (that night and day thing again), then WHY would He cause the very creature that is to reflect His Image, His stamp of like-ness, to drag on for billions of years? What if we didn't turn out right, I mean in His image? To say that we turned out right because God was overseeing the process whould be to say that this Theistic-evolution you talk about is any thing but random or natural. So, we come back to, "On the sixth day, GOD created". I do say, in the love of Christ, that you should go back and try to re-read Darwin's theory(I have been reading it myself so as to know what to say to certain folks). As you delve into Darwin's thinking, you may fall into the mire of his making unprovable assumptions with illogical conclusions. There is no way to show, or credible way to support what is claimed, for there are only assumptions and opinions. Truth is independent of assumptions and opinions. As Bob Dylan said in a song on one of his two albums that were even worth listening to. Goes something like, "Gotta learn what I gotta unlearn". We need to base and judge all things against scripture, not vice versa. In Christ, Trucker Dave (thought I'd throw the trucker part in there, figured some people get impressed with titles, and all of that - silly, isn't it? Pastor Ken).
