I recently yielded to temptation and sinned because just like Balaam, I failed to say WHY GOD SAID NO....
LORD MAY I ALWAYS APPLY THE LESSONS IN THIS ARTICLE / SCRIPTURES.

thanx, Keith - the spoilt, greedy heart of the man of God really did a lot of damage that time, when he sold out his believes

Like Joanne I find myself terribly oppressed. I believe that because my luck of obedience to God and my wrong choices, I am in a place of constantly confusion and under enemy's attack...However, Keith Green teachings are great!

Keith's legacy of obedience still preaching and turning hearts to his Master.

When I first read this artical I throughly enjoyed it and thought it had applications for my short comings. However, digging deeper(Numbers 24:1) it is established that Balaam was not a true prophet of the Lord but an individual who engaged in occultic arts to his own advantage. He was a seer for hire and nothing more. Why would he have even given any kind of credibility to Balak's alters and sacrifices to Balak's God? Balaam did not serve our God but was still used by Him to clearly establish that our God is always in control. Be Blessed!

Balaam was a sorcerer and seer for hire like Todd said earlier, but I think there is so much wisdom in this study, that we can apply it to christians very easily. I also think its important for us to read the scriptures in the Bible studies provided for us so we can see for ourselves God's truths.Example being Balaam was not a man of God.Though I have to say I'm guily of being lazy and not looking up scripture if Todd hadn't brought that to my attention ,I probably would not have looked it up ( Page 3 of 3.
