Still Speaking after 31 Years in Heaven

Share Your Memories of Keith Green

Keith Green FB Share Your Memo
We want to give everyone an opportunity to share their memories of how Jesus used Keith to impact their life.  And gather all the stories in one place for everyone to enjoy.

Keith sure impacted my life.  After Jesus, he was my biggest influence.  Keith modeled giving everything to Jesus, not wanting celebrity, caring for the poor, taking people off the streets, and reaching into prisons.  We did that from the start together.

I would love to know what your story is.  How did Keith impact your life?  Were you at a concert?  Was it through the music?  Are you in ministry?  On the mission field?

How did Keith impact you, and what are you doing now that you think you might not be doing — if not for his influence?

Please share your story in the comment section below.

I’ll start!

He had such an impact on my life, I feel he was a gifted to prophecy kind of guy.
When visiting Last Days after his death i was horrified to discover that one of my favorite tracts was pulled from circulation. Keith had always spoken the truth in love. He was one of the best hard hitters of truth without making you doubt Gods love. When Keith often alone among his contemporaries spoke up about many issues we listened. And when he wrote the Catholic Chronicles we took warning. No one dared say what he did until Dave Hunt wrote A Women Rides the Beast. None seem to notice even now what a diabolical role she (the women in Revelation 17-18) plays daily in these Last Days! May God raise up more like Keith who stand up for the truth even unto death. He has certainly been an inspiration to me and many more to come.
May God Richly Bless You My Beloved Last Days Ministries folks.

I don't really have a big story. My dad introduced me to Keith Green as a kid and he would walk around the house singing along. Always loved that. Tonight, I decided to introduce Keith and his music to my 11 year old daughter. She loved it. It's been a rough day. Found out I'm getting a liver transplant in a few months. I played a few Keith Green songs and felt way less worried and reminded myself it's all in God's hands. I'm very thankful for Keith and his music and I'm thrilled it's been part of my life since I was little. :) God bless! <><

I was introduced to Keith

I was introduced to Keith Greens music while serving in the US Army, even though I have never meet Keith personally I feel that he is my brother in Christ. His ministry has inspired and encouraged me through three deployments to Iraq. I am now retired from the service but listen to his music daily. I also have been to the Josiah and Bethany Children's home in Mexico and will be going again on the Christmas trip. I love the children there and what a blessing to me to have an opportunity to be part of Gods work. Thank you Keith Green I will be looking forward to meeting you someday when I go to Gods kingdom.

Hi , I saw Keith just once in Western Australia , introduced by Winkey Pratney and then whisked away after one song . It was brief but unforgettable and left me wondering , who was that guy . My favourite song is "When Your love broke through" and the best worship one , " Lord your beautiful" In fact I heard this sung on the Cross centred tv broadcast "Sonlife tv" and it was a fantastic memory of a worship song tp God and also a great tribute to Keith's unique relationship with our precious Lord and Savior Jesus Christ , AMEN .

Thank you for these encouraging posts. What I remember about Keith Green is that what I called in those days "sold out for Jesus" meaning no compromise - as one of his songs. Keith and Melody Green made such an impact in my life that I was planning to volunteer at Last Days Ministries before I met my husband. I too find myself quoting lyrics like "I want more than Sunday and Wednesday nights" or "make my life a prayer to you" and even the kinda' funny, but serious one "so you wanna' go back to Egypt". The day I heard the news about the plane crash I felt a pain like I had lost my closest brother. I remember I was in the kitchen and I fell to the floor and wailed. My husband walked in and thought that I had lost a family member. I told him that I had. I still buy and play his music today. Thank you for this Website.

When I heard that Keith had died in a plane accident it was like losing a member of my family. He meant so much to me. I love music and when I got saved in 1980 there wasn't a lot of good Christ-honoring music available. Keith's music encouraged me to keep the faith, and go deeper with Jesus. I was able to see Keith in concert at Cal State Northridge in the early 80's. It was an amazing experience. I pray his ministry will continue to thrive and Melody and her family will be richly blessed.

I was introduced to Keith Green's music as a young girl and I've listened to him all of my life. I recently celebrated my 50th birthday and his music still ministers to me like few others. With the many amazing Christian artists we now have, i still find myself listening to Keith Green. Each song of his is a sermon, a prayer from my heart to God's ears. How I love how he captured what so many believers want to say to God. I love and respect the boldness that he had in writing those songs and one cannot deny the anointing that's on his music. To realize he's been in Heaven for over 30 years now and his music is still ministering to millions worldwide is remarkable. I imagine by now my sweet Daddy, who went Home to Heaven three years ago, has long since met him and fellowshipping in eternity with him. I can only imagine what it'll be like but thanks to his heart of worship and praise, I can talk to God about so many things until I go home to Glory. I want to meet him when I get to Heaven and thank him for his obedience to the calling God put on his life as it continues to bless me to this day. God bless Melody and his children and their families. Hopefully I will meet all of you one day - if not in this life, then in eternity. May God bless you richly.

A great impact on my life- both his music and his life- there was no compromising of his faith.
